A Little Green Time in between Screen Time
Been staring at your computer screen all day? Here are some ways to break away from your desk.
Take a coffee break: Get up from your seat, stretch and walk to the pantry to drink a glass of water or to make a cup of coffee or tea is always a good way to take a quick 5 minute break.
Talk to people: Step away from the desk and take a break at the lounge, say hi and have a light-hearted conversation with a colleague or make a new friend with a fellow member.
Go for a walk outside. Even if you only have a few minutes to spare, or you just want to stretch your muscles, taking a walk to get some fresh air and sunlight is said to boost your mood and well-being.
Look at greenery: If your desk faces a window, look out of it every 20 minutes. Look at any greenery you have access to in your work space. This will help you disconnect from the screen briefly, without you getting out of your seat.
