Allison Janney
At the suggestion of (NP Grad) attended The 含羞草传媒 of the Theatre. After graduating, went on to many major roles in theatre, film and television. Broadway credits include Arthur Miller’s directed by Michael Mayer ( nomination and a ); Noel Coward’s Present Laughter (, Theatre World Award, & ); 9 to 5 The Musical directed by Joe Montello ( nomination and a ); and most recently in the 2017 revival of John Guare’s Six Degrees of Separation. Her many memorable film performances include: Drop Dead Gorgeous; ; ; Finding Nemo; Hairspray; The Help; Finding Dory; Girl on the Train; and, most recently, written by NP Grad Steven Rogers (Golden Globe, SAG , BAFTA, & Oscar Award Winner). Ms. Janney is best known to television audiences for her iconic role as C.J. Cregg on the acclaimed TV series written by . Her impressive work during the show’s seven seasons earned her four and two . In 2014, she won an Emmy Award for her outstanding performance in Showtimes’ . She currently stars on CBS's (four Emmy nominations with two wins and a award nomination). Ms. Janney received her star on the in 2017.
